My Unrelated Sister
So, you guys, I have this best friend. Well, no. That’s an understatement because she’s absolutely more than that. You know, she’s my hero, and I’m not kidding. She saved me from killing myself, time and time again. She is honestly part of my “Top Five People I Can Never Live Without” list because, well. Let me tell you a quick story.
I met her around May 2011, and for the people who don’t understand the meaning of Tumblr and how people you meet on here can affect your life dramatically, then you’re probably gonna think I’m crazy… But hear me out, okay? We were the only Asians in our little group. You know, we were not only on the same page when it came to everything Asian, but we were pretty much on the same wavelength, it was eerie. And then, we just kinda clicked. Just like that, we clicked. You know Aristotle’s saying, “What is a friend? A soul dwelling in two bodies.” Well, that saying definitely applies to us because I see myself in Christine. We’re alike in so many ways, and I honestly don’t know how I came across such a wonderful person.
She’s beautiful,

Whimsical,

Hilarious,

and perfectly imperfect.

Not to mention that she’s technologically savvy to the point where I can’t even anymore.
So, you guys, this is Christine. Sure, we’re miles and miles apart. There are oceans between us. There are time zones separating us. But you know what? That doesn’t matter. I honestly don’t know how I found such an amazing person like her, but I without her, I really don’t know if I’d still be walking this earth today. She’s pulled me out of turbulent waters and shed light during my darkest hours. I practically owe her my life. You may think it’s stupid for me to love her so much, but you just won’t understand unless you have a friendship like ours. She’s my hero, my rock, and my best friend.
I wouldn’t trade her for anything in this world.
